Green Living

Holly at Decor8 recently held a moodboard contest in conjunction with Amy Butler. I thought it would be fun to create an entry, so here it is. My theme was Green Living—an eco-friendly, sustainable dining space. I am actually really surprised (and somewhat disappointed) that no one else attempted to create a space using sustainable products. You can view the other entries here. All of the materials or designs featured in my moodboard have been produced either using recycled materials, sustainable materials such as bamboo and/or follow sustainable means of production - such as energy saving, waste reduction or elimination, etc. And I have to say, all of the stuff is pretty cool!

This is the resource list:
Piet Hein Eek Dining Table Made from recycled wood scraps and absolutely stunning
Bathtub End Chair Made from an old bathtub!
Emeco Chairs Made from 80% recycled aluminum
Living Wall How amazing would it be to have one of these in your house? Someday ...
Coco Shell Lightshade Made from salt-bleached slivers of coconut shell which is a by-product of the food industry
Hay Bale Rolling Ottoman
FLOR Carpet Tiles
EcoSmart Fire Tower
Recycled Glass Plates & Vintage French Wine Café Glasses
Vintage Linens
Bamboo Storage Unit
Plant Pots
